WHO AM I?
As the owner of Candor Training and Consultancy I have been lucky enough to work with the not for profit area for the last 2O years. It is during this time that I have seen (and experienced myself) how hard volunteers work to provide services and support to communities that would not be available without them. During this time I was employed by various agencies where I have been involved in producing over 23 published resources and books to support volunteers. But I wanted to do more and do it in a way that would better support not for profits. That is why I decided to start my own business (www.candortraining.com) to support these volunteers through training and resources. Since starting, I have travelled to Copenhagen, Botswana, Vietnam, Britain, Mongolia and across Australia presenting training courses. Although I felt I wasn’t getting to enough people fast enough. This is one of the reasons I produced this newsletter. Let me know what you think.
